The square case has a unique shape, inspired by the watch Louis Cartier created for his pilot friend Albert Santos Dumont, which is known as the world's first modern watch.

The stainless steel case uses a combination of brushed and polished processes, with classic Roman numerals and orbital scale circles. The sword-shaped blue steel hands add to the elegance. The bezel is decorated with 8 screws, which is highly recognizable.
