1998: a twenty-square-metre workshop
Three watchmakers rented a storefront on an old street and spent their days repairing watches, their evenings studying movements. That first year they restored 1,174 watches.
2009: the first direct purchase
The founders flew to Switzerland and signed a small-volume agreement with an independent workshop. Removing the middleman made price and lead time far more predictable.
Today, twenty-seven years on
AURELIS TIME sources directly from independent workshops in Switzerland and Germany. Every watch is tested for 72 hours before dispatch and carries a five-year service programme. We build homage timepieces: tributes to designs we admire, made honestly and sold at a fair price.
We do one thing: help time run a little truer.
